Leonard Sax, MD, PhD
Doctor Sax earned his bachelor’s degree in biology from MIT in Cambridge, Massachusetts, where he graduated Phi Beta Kappa in five semesters at the age of 19. He then went on to the University of Pennsylvania, where he earned both a PhD in psychology, and an MD. Next, he did a 3-year residency in family practice at Lancaster General Hospital in Lancaster, Pennsylvania.
He now has more than 25 years of experience in family medicine and urgent care. He is board certified by the American Board of Family Medicine and a Fellow of the American Academy of Family Physicians. Doctor Sax is also the author of four books for parents: Why Gender Matters, Boys Adrift, Girls on the Edge, and his most recent book, The Collapse of Parenting, which became a New York Times bestseller.
Doctor Sax’s favorite free-time activity is making music with his wife and daughter.
Vincent E. Schaller, M.D
Doctor Schaller is a board certified physician with over 20 years of experience, including in-patient and out-patient medicine, ER, Urgent Care, pediatrics, adult medicine, and geriatrics. Doctor Schaller’s careful, complete examinations, combined with his friendly bedside manner have earned him the respect of doctors and the trust of patients throughout Delaware, New Jersey, and Pennsylvania. Doctor Schaller graduated Phi Beta Kappa with a Bachelor of Science in Biology and Natural Sciences at Muhlenberg College. He graduated Medical School Alpha Omega Alpha from Pennsylvania State University, Milton Hershey Medical Center in 1993. He did he internship and residency in family practice at Hunterdon Medical Center, Robert Wood Johnson in Flemington N.J. Doctor Schaller has practiced 7 years in primary care and now 13 years in Urgent Care in Delaware and Pennsylvania.
Doctor Schaller made an appearance on Over The Line in August 2017 to discuss concussions in football. He had recently written an opinion column on Philly.com, “Opinion: Stop blaming football for concussions.” His appearance on Over The Line continued this discussion on the points he brought up in the article. His views on concussions in football were subsequently supported in an article appearing in The Philadelphia Inquirer, “Working for athletes’ safety,” written by the heads of the Rothman Institute and Jefferson Health.
